Colleague Payroll Deduction
To keep education within reach, Adtalem provides financial support to Adtalem students through the Empower Scholarship Fund. Many of these students are the first in their family to attend college or come from challenging personal situations, yet strive to continue their education and advance their professional ambition. The Empower Scholarship Fund assists these students in meeting their tuition and other education-related expenses. Colleague donations made through payroll deduction are tax deductible and 100% matched by Adtalem.
To make a payroll deduction:
- Access Bswift via Okta
- Click LIFE EVENTS on the left side
- Click CHANGE CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
- Enter today's date for the "When did your life event take place?"
- Check "I verify that all of the above Life Event information is correct."
- Click Save and Start Life Event Enrollment
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen to Empower Scholarship Fund and click View Plan Options
- Enter the amount you wish to contribute per pay period and click continue
- Click continue again on the main screen
- Review selections, check the box stating 'You Agree' at the bottom and click 'Complete Enrollment'
Contributions add up quickly. For every 30 colleagues that give just $1 a paycheck, a student receives a $1,500 scholarship thanks to those donations combined with the Adtalem match.
Colleagues giving $30 or more a paycheck, provide funding for at least one scholarship a year.
