Julie A. McAfooes Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Summary
Established by family, friends and colleagues in memory of Julie A. McAfooes, MS, RN-BC, CNE, ANEF, FAAN, who had a long and diverse career at Chamberlain University. Julie achieved a reputation for envisioning ways that innovative technologies could be integrated into nursing education. Her work on the co-authored book, Simulation in Nursing Education: From Conceptualization to Evaluation was the first of its kind on simulation in nursing education. This scholarship continues Julie's legacy and shares her passion for nursing.
Details
One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded annually in the spring to an eligible, post-licensure student currently enrolled at Chamberlain University.
Eligibility
- Student must attend Chamberlain University
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Requirements
- Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member or nursing professional.
- Essay Question: Describe what distinguishes your passion for nursing and identify the three most important attributes of an exemplary nurse. Explain how you will demonstrate these attributes throughout the remainder of your training and career.
